NJ Maritime Museum Fundraiser – 2019

Please plan to join fellow members, friends and neighbors at the NJ Maritime Museum annual fundraiser. This year, it will occur on Saturday, September 14 rain or shine. Food will be served starting at 5:00 pm. The full cash bar will include beer, wine, liquor AND a special NJMM Rumrunner drink concocted (and test driven) by Jim. DJ Troy Sarro will once again be providing the entertainment spinning those stax of wax.

The fundraiser theme this year recognizes 100 years since the beginning of the National Prohibition Act, aka – the Volstead Act, aka – the 18th Amendment to the Constitution. Historian and teacher Jeffrey Brown will give a brief synopsis of prohibition’s effect on the New Jersey coast.

There will be prizes galore. Chinese Auction and 50/50 raffle tickets will be available to purchase. Select items will be available for bidding in a silent auction. And hang on to that ticket stub It could win one of the door prizes which will be drawn all evening. You must be present to claim a door prize. The other prize numbers will be posted on the museum web site and can be claimed until September 30.

And finally, take home a personalized memento of the evening. Have your photo taken in front of one of several prohibition era backdrops. Tickets are on sale now and will still be available at the door. $50 for members; $55 for non-members. Call the museum office (609-492-0202) to order yours. Please do it soon.

See you at the fundraiser.
