NJ Maritime Museum Presentation – October 22

Our first presentation of the season will be held at Buckalew’s on Friday evening, October 22nd. Our guest speaker will be Edward O’Donnell, who is a resident of Long Beach Island. Sixty years ago, Ed embarked on his first sea voyage as a cadet on the SS African Star to South and East Africa. He will be sharing the events of that voyage with us. Additionally, Ed has written a book about his experiences, and it will be available for sale that evening. He has graciously offered to share the proceeds of any book sales with the museum.

Complimentary hor doerves and happy hour drink prices are available starting at 6 pm, and the talk will begin at 7 pm, as is usual. Reservations are required, and a $10 donation will be collected at the door to offset our expenses. Active members will have until October 16th to reserve a seat for this presentation, after which date non-members may reserve any remaining seats.

Reservations may be made by calling the museum at 609.492.0202 or by sending an e-mail to info@NJMM.org

I hope to see you there.
