NJ Maritime Museum Members, Supporters, and Business Owners
Thanks, once again, to the generosity of the Burris, Nugent, and Magaziner families, our next fundraiser will be held on Saturday, May 4th, 2024 at Bird & Betty’s Restaurant & Bar from 4 pm until 9 pm. Our first event at this popular venue was a huge success and proved to be much more convenient and comfortable than past indoor-outdoor tented affairs held at the museum.
Due to the fact that many businesses close after the summer season, we are collecting, in advance, donations of gift certificates and merchandise for our Chinese and Silent Auctions before the fall and winter seasons set in. These auctions have been awesome in the past, and, with your much-needed support, we hope to continue that tradition.
Our Chinese Auction historically has consisted of 50-60 prizes, usually worth $250 and up. We try to group items to fit a particular theme, such as Fun in the Sun, Boat & Car Care, Island Getaway, Beauty Products, Cooking, Restaurant Foodie’s, Bookworm Basket, Wine Taster, Home Décor, etc. Our Silent Auction consists of higher end items for which written bids are submitted. These prizes usually feature fishing trips, cruises, vacation packages, paintings and prints, professional sports tickets, bicycles, decorative furniture, grills, and other such items. We also will have a 50/50 cash raffle. No donation is too small, and all are truly appreciated. All donors will be recognized in our official program and will be provided with a NJMM receipt for tax deduction purposes.
